Juicy facts about the grape.

Zing! Is there any snack that is more refreshing and satisfying than a fresh, cold bunch of crunchy, tangy table grapes?

Ok, maybe we’re a little bias … but hey let’s not forget grapes are healthy too. Bet you didn’t know grapes contain:

  • calcium
  • magnesium
  • manganese
  • iron
  • vitamins B1, B2, B6, B12, A, C, P, PP, K,
  • enzymes
  • folic acid

And if that weren’t enough, grapes are also rich in plant compounds known as phytonutrients. Yes that’s a mouthful but those are biologically active substances in plant foods that appear to help fight disease and enhance our health.

The next time you’re at the store searching for a healthy treat for the kids, try a big bowl of fresh grapes. Then watch that delicious snack disappear!

Of course like any other fruit, wash them completely before eating. We recommend a slam-dunk in warm water - then a brief soak in cool water. Always store your fresh grapes in the refrigerator since they are at the peak of flavor at harvest. They will not ripen further at room temperature.
