California Growing Region
|
San Joaquin Valley, California
The San Joaquin Valley encompasses seven million acres and is
located in central California. It is the most productive
agricultural region in the world and is considered “the nation’s
salad bowl” for the over 250 crops cultivated in its fertile soil.
The valley is bordered on the west by the California coastal
mountain range, on the east and south by the Sierra Nevada mountain
range and on the north by the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. In a
normal year 85 million boxes of table grapes are harvested in this
region.
All of Pandol family domestic vineyards are located in this valley,
providing approximately 50% of our annual domestic grape supply. We
have recently expanded our marketing efforts with California grown
Blueberries and Persimmons. Our sales and administrative
headquarters along with our cold storage facilities are also
located near the city of Delano, “The Table Grape Capital of the
World."
